Eligibility Criteria

CriteriaDetails
Education QualificationDegree in Law from a recognized university in India
Age LimitMax 43 years for SC/ST, Max 38 years for others (as of last application date)
CitizenshipMust be an Indian citizen as per Articles 5 & 6 of the Indian Constitution

Age Relaxation: 10 years for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) and 15 years for SC/ST PwBD candidates.


Selection Process

The selection process consists of three stages:

Preliminary Examination (Screening Test)

  Exam Pattern:

  • Objective Type (100 Marks)
  • Subjects: General Knowledge, Aptitude, English, Constitution of India, Civil Procedure Code, Criminal Procedure Code, Indian Penal Code, Law of Torts, Evidence Act, Contract Act, Transfer of Property Act, and Assamese Language Proficiency.
  • Candidates securing 60% or more marks qualify for the Main Examination.
