Eligibility Criteria

Departmental candidates of the Supreme Court Registry have no upper age limit, but no relaxation for candidates working in other government departments.


Reservation & Relaxation

Reservation for SC, ST, OBC, PwD, and Ex-Servicemen is applicable as per Government of India rules.
Reservation for dependents of Freedom Fighters is as per orders issued by the Chief Justice of India.


Selection Process

The recruitment process consists of multiple stages:

1. Written Examination (Objective Type – 2 Hours)

2. Computer Knowledge Test (Objective Type – 25 Questions)

3. Typing Speed Test (English) on Computer

  •  Candidates must type at a speed of 35 words per minute.
  •  Maximum 3% mistakes allowed in the total word count.

4. Descriptive Test (English Language – 2 Hours)

  • Comprehension Passage
  • Precis Writing
  • Essay Writing

5. Interview/Viva-Voce

  • Candidates who qualify in all previous stages will be called for an interview.
  • The interview carries qualifying marks, and candidates will be selected in a 1:3 ratio (3 candidates per 1 vacancy).

Final selection is based on merit, and placement in the panel does not guarantee an appointment.
